It’s an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a quick but memorable game that doesn’t require much effort to play.
Though there are some unfavorable aspects of the game, mainly in its narrative, there is no denying that Deck 13 remains triumphant in providing a fun and unique experience with the release of Atlas Fallen. While it is very apparent that Deck 13 wants to add variety to its portfolio of games, it’s far from a perfect game when it comes to story but has come a long way in combat mechanics. Albeit experimental in nature, we cannot wait to see what direction will Deck 13 bring their new combat mechanics and IP as we feel that it has a lot of potential. It’s a highly customizable action RPG that will attract those looking for button-smashing fun at the expense of an engaging and interesting story.
Final Fantasy XVI may offer daring adjustments, but it is in this spirit of creativity that the genre flourishes. The game is not perfect, yet Naoki Yoshida, the game's director, held faithful to his promise to deliver a compelling experience and bring Final Fantasy back to the must-have games again.
Despite the significant improvements in mechanics and aesthetics, it is clear that Deep Silver stuck to the same formula. The same dark comedy with a not-so-serious plot can now be boring for veterans, but it can provide hours of fun to those new to the series. However, ten years is too lengthy for game development, and the same approach may be stale for others now, given that nothing much has improved with some elements in the game.
Even though it's 10 years late, Dead Space (2023) is Electronic Arts' apology letter after the mayhem of Dead Space 3. With the release of this remake, it has been demonstrated that good development and listening to what the public wants is essential in providing a breath of fresh air to an old game.
It is apparent that Forspoken has potential. There are highs and lows but it seems like the latter is more obvious. Unfortunately, despite the fact that a demo was released in December to solicit feedback from players, the game has not improved. Despite the ample amount of delay, the game has failed to deliver the quality that we expect from a large publisher like Square Enix. Yes, it is playable, but if you can ignore the flaws and focus solely on the unique blend of story and great traverse mechanic, it will make your time in Athia worthwhile.
