I’m pleasantly surprised by just how far Wayfinder has come since I first played that beta. From its lukewarm early access launch, the game has transformed into an experience that’s well worth your time if you’re a fan of the ARPG/MMO genres.
Children of the Sun is an inventive puzzle shooter that knows how to constantly reinvent its core mechanic, while not stretching its idea too thin. It has the odd rough edge, but it's easily one of Devolver Digital's better experiences.
Ghostrunner 2 does plenty to improve upon a great core gameplay loop, even if its execution isn't always as sharp.
Payday 3 does a ton of heavy lifting to revolutionize its gameplay for a modern age, but struggles to provide the needed content to sustain that.
Remnant 2 makes strides in the lesser-developed areas of its predecessor, to mostly great effect. While some sections have received less love than others, you're still bound to have a good time.
Whether you're completely new to the game like me or fully completed the game at release, Resident Evil 4 Remake offers all the tension and thrills you've come to expect from the franchise.
Its plot is quite atrocious, and much of the exploration aspect feels tacked on without adding anything. The larger length than most games of its type doesn’t help it hold up, either. While the heart inside Atomic Heart beats, it’s more often than not with a very weak pulse.
Dead Space Remake is a clear labor of love from EA Motive toward the influential original. Not only does it understand exactly what didn’t need fixing, but added to the experience through a series of risks that seriously paid off.
At the end of the day, Warhammer 40K: Darktide is a thoroughly enjoyable experience (especially when you can run it).
Automachef is a very fresh and innovative experience offering rewarding mechanics, great level design, an abundance of content potential, and a wonderful atmosphere. With only minimal issues, this is definitely a game you'll want to take a bite out of.
The Sinking City is a great detective game on the surface, but when diving deep, there are a lot of cracks that hinder its ability to succeed.
