Star Wars: Republic Commando is the type of Star Wars game I wish we were getting more of these days. Its tight gunplay and tactical commands still hold up remarkably well and its story has big Clone Wars energy. It may be short and lacking in extras but it still manages to be a great experience after 16 long years lost in The World Between Worlds.

If you're looking only for the original Republic Commando campaign, in all its glory, with some enhanced visuals, then go for it... if you're looking for a true remaster or something that might justify double dipping on Switch, you may wish to pass.

Star Wars: Republic Commando returns in 2021 with a great port from a developer who has shown that Star Wars ports are great and gives us an old-school game, which at the time was one of the best titles we had of the franchise and that we expanded the lore of the Clone Wars when the content of that time was very little for fans of the galactic saga. With a reduced price, you can enjoy a few hours of a game with a great story, a good gameplay with touches of strategy and the priceless atmosphere of Star Wars.
