Kansei: The Second Turn HD Reviews
Kansei: The Second Turn HD is well presented, providing an interesting mystery to solve. Although I didn't find myself becoming overly attached to the characters, it provides an entertaining way to spend a few hours if you're into visual novels.
Back in 2020, I reviewed Jisei: The First Case HD, when Ratalika Games S.L. ported the first instalment of the Jisei Series from PC onto consoles. The port of the second instalment, Kansei: The Second Turn HD, arrived a short time after the release of the next generation of Xbox and PlayStation consoles. I reviewed the Xbox version, which is optimised for Series X|S. Did I find the next game in the series as engaging as the first? Find out here in my Rapid Review.
Kansei the Second Turn HD is a short, engaging adventure that will keep the player entertained for roughly the length of a mystery movie. The characters are interesting and their paranormal powers add elements of fiction that set this title apart from other police investigation visual novels. Despite not having Brazilian Portuguese localization, its interface perfectly integrated into the Switch's hardware makes this game an interesting experience for enthusiasts of the genre.

Here’s what I’d say: if you’re the type of person who consumes this sort of pulp-grade mystery story, then you’ll have a fun time. There’s enough meat here to spend a full day with, the ambience of the voices and music are good, and the first time through the pieces make sense. If you’re looking for a long-time investment with a game, you seriously need to look elsewhere.
