Lost Recipes Reviews
Lost Recipes isn't a very long game, but it has undeniable charm throughout its runtime. Clearly geared more toward VR novices, it provides good-looking interactive environments and some interesting recipes to cook, but it doesn't offer a lot of content or challenge to be captivating beyond the first playthrough.
Lost Recipes is a great cooking simulator, a nifty VR title and a highly-creative and fun educational game all wrapped up in a one-of-a-kind package.
Lost Recipes showcases one of the biggest strengths offered by virtual reality. Were this a console game, I would have probably hated it. It was the added novelty of doing my own dishes with decent motion controls, all while learning a bit about ancient history, that made this game way more entertaining than I could have ever imagined. Sadly, it’s ridiculously short. I would have loved to spend more time cooking more dishes from other ancient cultures.
Lost Recipes is one of VR's most wholesome games, bogged down by technical bugs but enriched by a historic blast to culinary past and a stress-free cooking sim.
