werve satisfies with a refined, fast-paced tower defense system that is both accessible and challenging.
If you can get over those rather specific issues, then Dwerve certainly is a different take on the tower defense genre, and if you like tower defense, you could definitely do a lot worse! And the game should keep you occupied for a good ten or so hours, but replayability may not be there just yet.
Dwerve managed to break into my top 10 titles of the year (so far). It is witty, colorful, and fun. It may be a bit simple, and difficulty may fluctuate at times, but I still found it all incredibly enjoyable.
Even though this game has its issues, I still enjoyed the gameplay. That’s why I’m giving it the Thumb Cultures Gold Award.
