Escape Academy: Escape from the Past Reviews
Escape Academy: Escape from the Past is a fun murder-mystery take on the familiar puzzle action and it proves to be a lot of fun to solve.
Escape Academy – Escape from the Past from Coin Crew Games does a good job of creating a decent prequel narrative while incorporating a healthy dose of escape room drama. While the balance between story and gameplay seems more story-slanted, the DLC still does a commendable job of delivering a fun, yet short escape room experience.
Escape From The Past is a great addition to an already great game. Muddled down by some difficulty curves, but the grand finale is a spectacle to behold.
Escape Academy: Escape from the Past is an origins story that will keep you and a chum happily thinking outside-the-box for hours.
Escape from the Past serves up more of the same co-op puzzling goodness players have come to expect from Escape Academy, with the murder mystery twist adding an extra element of drama to see unfold. The puzzles are as clever and creative as ever, whilst there are a few new ideas thrown in that encourage piecing together evidence and even competing with your partner. And sure, there may be some familiarity for players given that you’re re-visiting locales you’ve been to before, but enough has changed to ensure that Escape from the Past still manages to stand out as an enjoyable breath of fresh air.
