Critic Reviews for Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition
Technically impressive but just not as fun or innovative as its predecessor.
Horizon Forbidden West on PC is another incredible port from Nixxes. It successfully brings the Horizon Forbidden West experience to PC with a ton of content and tremendous performance. It's a must-buy for anyone that enjoyed the original, and it should leave fans excited to see what the studio is able to pull off with its upcoming Ghost of Tsushima PC port.
Horizon Forbidden West’s PC release is a joy to play to get a refresher on the latest game in this series of breathtaking games so far. It's a blast to run around and experience the world the game offers with maximum detail. The work put into the game to make it run smoothly on PC is amazing. Players will be happy with this PC port and can look forward to experiencing the game once again without any restrictions or graphical limitations on it.
There's simply no question that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is a must-play game.
Guerrilla and Nixxes surprise us with a port that is not only very solid, but also offers options to give and give away. Undoubtedly, this is the best way to enjoy Horizon Forbidden West if you have a high-performance PC.

Nixxes once again does an impeccable job. An exceptional port of a great adventure, with all the content included, which also has a great optimization to work very well in different configurations. Without a doubt, PlayStation should make them the only studio tasked with porting their games to PC.

This PC release is the definitive version of Horizon Forbidden West. It looks fantastic, runs brilliantly, and tells one of the more compelling action RPG stories I’ve yet played. Aloy and friends are great characters, and the Horizon world is enticing by design. It’s not smashing through genre barriers by any means, but the systems are expertly balanced and exciting to engage with. It stands toe to toe with the best open world games of all time, and Guerrilla’s trajectory suggests their next effort will be even better.
Horizon Forbidden West is utterly gorgeous and builds on the original's intense combat, but a lack of ambition and a flat narrative hold it back as a sequel. It provides more of the first game but bigger, with a few new inclusions struggling against the tidal wave of familiarity.
