RIN: The Last Child Reviews
RIN: The Last Child has potential and elements that should make it stand out more, but also too much is holding it back. It’s not a terrible game at all, just an ok game. Players looking for a not-too-challenging game to relax and unwind with will find it here, but fans of Metroidvania-style games will likely lose interest after the first boss fight, and there are many better alternatives out there.
RIN: The Last Child is not a bad game, but it isn’t very good either. The main shortcomings from this game comes from the main combat system being unbalanced and too easy and having some of the most stiff platforming in the indie space.
I generally try not to be too harsh on indie developers, because they often make the most unique games. 'RIN: The Last Child', on the other hand, is simply not a good game. The idea of the spells is fun initially, but everything surrounding it just doesn't work and only causes frustration. The floaty gameplay can be fixed to some extent with a few patches, but that map is going to be a lot harder.

As Metroidvanias go, it’s fine, but if you want anything more than just average, you’re not going to find it here.
