Rugby World Cup 2015 Reviews
Sorry, rugby fans, this is a horrible, rushed release punted out the door in time for the World Cup.
Saying it's improved is like admiring the silver lining on a nuclear mushroom cloud. This is a series slowly urging its squat, miserable bulk in the right direction, but it's impossible to recommend.
If you've been waiting years for a good rugby union game, the wait will continue for some time yet. There is little to redeem the myriad of fundamental flaws and inadequacies that are apparent throughout.
Terrible AI leaves this as the most unconvincing World Cup simulator possible. Not recommended.
As long as you're up for just playing a running and passing strategy then Rugby World Cup 2015 plays alright. Try anything else and you're in for a whole mess of problems. The game feels very much like it was rushed to coincide with this year's tournament. There are huge flaws everywhere from the game breaking bugs, atrocious AI and poor design decisions. Ultimately this game deserves to spend some time in the sin bin.
It's as if the developers of Rugby World Cup 2015 hate you for daring to hope that they'd made up for the near-intolerable Rugby 15. If you've shelled out for this then it's fair to say that you'll hate them right back. This is easily the worst game available for Xbox One - sports or otherwise - and is without any shadow of a doubt one of the worst officially-licenced sports games of all time. Absolutely atrocious on every single level.
