Critic Reviews for Toto Temple Deluxe

Toto Temple Deluxe is an fun game whose biggest strength is also its biggest weakness; the omission of online multiplayer (or a distinct solo mode beyond playing existing modes with bots) is a drawback, and although online is not ideal for party games, it should at least be an option to enable everyone to enjoy this one more.

Toto Temple Deluxe is a recommended multiplayer game that deserves a look. This is fast, fun, squeal-inducing action for all of the family/herd. It's a game that will go down well at any awkward family get-together, dinner party, or youth group – and another reason to love indie game producers for taking an established gaming formula and making it fresh all over again. All in all, Toto Temple Deluxe is a game you buy if you have friends to play it with. Solo, it can be no more than a brief distraction, but with friends it becomes an exciting brawl-fest. Solid modes and an impressive number of stages makes sure this multiplayer title is one to check out.

While its local multiplayer will keep friends entertained, its lack of online multiplayer as well as the dearth of single player content make this a choice only for friendly gatherings where all the players are physically present.

If you are primarily a single player, then we can't really recommend Toto Temple Deluxe. If, however, you have a group of friends who aren't averse to some couch multiplayer, or have children to entertain, then this provides some decent entertainment for as long as it lasts.

Whilst being nice and simple, it's effective. Much like Duck Game, Toto Temple Deluxe had me screaming and laughing for quite a while. Variety of maps and various modes make for endless hours of fun for you and your friends.

If you've got access to a group of friends who are down for some weird concepts and Capra-based shenanigans, Toto Temple Deluxe should definitely be on your radar. There's something just plain fun about hurtling yourself into a goat from three-quarters of a screen away in order to sneak out a one-point win. It's ludicrous, but it works, and I hope Juicy Beast has more of these concepts because I'm down for whatever they've got.
