Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Reviews
Modern Warfare 4 wraps up the series with several shocking moments and ends on a high note.
Narratively, I'm left with questions, but in terms of everything else Modern Warfare 4's campaign offers, this is one for the history books.
Modern Warfare 4 had a tough time on its hands bringing the story into line, but it does an amazing job of just that in a relatively limited runtime.
Even if it didn't have to clear a very high bar, this year's Call of Duty campaign features endearing characters, a compelling plot, and crisp gameplay sans much of the nonsense of previous years.
"A powerful return and conclusion to the Modern Warfare series" Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 offers an engaging single-player campaign that blends fast-paced combat, cinematic presentation, and mission variety—even providing players with extra room to explore through the semi-open "Stranded" mission. The experience is further enhanced by detailed graphics, exceptional sound design, and strong voice acting. However, inconsistent narrative quality, the negligible impact of player choices, and certain issues with AI and technical performance prevent the game from reaching its full potential. Its ultimate success as a complete package will depend on the quality and stability of its other game modes following launch.

If, like me, you're still playing the Call of Duty series for its single-player campaigns, I can confidently say that Infinity Ward's four years of hard work have more than paid off. This is hands down the best campaign experience I've had since 2019's Modern Warfare.
