Pathogenic is a fantastic roguelite twin-stick shooter with gameplay chops to match its wonderfully slimy, fleshy aesthetic, and should provide hours of enjoyment for anyone with even a vague interest in the genre. Fingers crossed it comes to consoles soon, because this is one virus everyone should want to catch.
Like a most deadly pandemic, Pathogenic has flown under the radar, but is soon to explode across the population and infect us all with a good time. This excellent twin-stick bullet-hell shooter boasts great mechanics and a strong theme to showcase them, one that left my skin crawling in all the best ways.
Pathogenic plays like something with a lot more experience behind it than a debut release usually has. That's likely down to the specific mix of people who built it.
