If you played the original GameCube version, don’t be surprised if that feeling you had playing the original feels lost in the twilight.

Both of our reviewers agree that Twilight Princess is a worthy purchase if you a) are a Zelda fan or b) if you own a Wii U. The visual upgrades are better than advertised even if the biggest Zelda game of all time still feels a little barren. Overall we’re a little hard on the classic Zelda remaster as we wish Nintendo did more to the address problems with the actual game and environments than just providing some nice visual updates (like they did with Wind Waker).

Twilight Princess offers a slight deviation from the cliché save the princess story, and the incorporation of wolf Link contributes a new avenue to explore. As far as RPG length, Twilight Princess is about average, clocking in at approximately 40+ hours for full completion (and adding a little extra should you utilize the Midna and wolf Link amiibo).

For those who have trodden the path of Twilight Princess' Hyrule before then it's a judgement call as to whether you want to walk that road again. The HD remake isn't as mind blowing as others before, but if its been a long time since you've played it, then revisiting Twilight Princess isn't the worst game to go back to.

It's great to finally have a high-definition port of Twilight Princess - it needed one more than most. Its strong dungeon design holds up well enough, but its meandering pace is unlikely to win over its detractors. Still, if you missed it the first time, give it a look. If nothing else, Midna is still a delight.
