Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a throwback to classic JRPGs, but in many ways an improvement. It’s like Aliens compared to Alien; all the aspects that made the original great have been polished up, tweaked and turned up to 11 to deliver something that is arguably even better than the inspiration.
Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a true golden age JRPG experience
The reason I bring this up is that the same thing seems to happen every so often with modern developers, leading to surprising, quality games that are instantly familiar and yet totally unique. That’s Battle Chasers: Nightwar in a nutshell.
Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a new return to the famous Japanese RPG games, with amazing world and good characters but not tied well to each other and highly designed dungeons in the game.
