Golf Story Reviews
Golf Story is a delight to play. It’s an RPG with a unique take, humorous writing and an enjoyable and easy to play philosophy running throughout it. A great addition to any Switch collection – whether you like golf or not.
Golf Story was interesting mix of genres where this mix really manages to work, despite the simplicity of artistic performance, the game has deep RPG component, which by all means want to love, and open world does not want to leave, because of his liveliness and fierce barrage of warmth.

The dry Aussi-ness of Golf Story wins through. I still can’t quite tell if the developers secretly hate golf and the whole thing is a big piss take. Either way, it comes across as well-meaning and tongue-in-cheek. I even chuckled a few times at the charming innocence of this world where everyone loves golf and all the world’s problems can be solved with a handful of balls and a good swing. Wouldn’t it be nice?
Who would have thought that an RPG adventure based around the slow-paced sport of golf would end up being such a fun one? While Golf Story may not be the best in class in neither the sport nor role-playing genre, the game manages to combine the two into a delightfully unique and charming experience. Another winner for the Switch.
Golf Story, despite releasing almost three years ago, remains one of the more noteworthy RPGs on the Switch.
