Critic Reviews for Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden
The overall result is another solid effort that will keep new and returning players entertained yet again, even if some know exactly what to expect by now.
Artifex Mundi keeps offering original and superb graphic adventures point and click with Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden, but the lack of news in the gameplay and the limited techical aspect show that the formula begings to feel old.

Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden is easily one of the creepiest stories that Artifex have delivered to Xbox One, with the city being grim and the antagonist providing jump-scares. It’s all fun and games though, as it is full of mini games and hidden object scenes that’ll keep you entertained. Unfortunately, it’s a bit short in the grand scheme of things, the voiceovers aren’t good and the cutscenes suffer from a visual standpoint.
If you have played other Artifex Mundi games, you know what you are getting yourself into for this one. If you have enjoyed the studio's games, then I think you will find the story compelling. Despite some outdated visuals and so-so voice acting, this is another good entry in the point and click adventure line from Artifex Mundi.
Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden tries to deliver a new experience in the Hidden Object genre, counting on its varied puzzles and solid story and atmosphere. And although some small issues may ruin the fun sometimes, the overall package is really appealing to the fans of the genre.

This title doesn't add anything to the previous titles and doesn't offer up a great story. Although, it does have the usual chilled out gameplay and can keep casual gamers happy for a few hours.
Artifex Mundi is nailing it with the HOG games on consoles, in what some would say is a niche market. Each new series seems to be better than the last, Abyss continues this trend delivering a very relaxing experience with a really good story. I would say that this is one of the best HOG games I've played by Artifex Mundi on consoles
