Picross e8 follows the long-running picross games' series where nearly nothing changes from one chapter to the next. This carries both a negative and a positive aspect, though in the case of Picross e8 it's possible to observe a rise in the difficulty level which makes this game more suitable for people familiar with picross. Regardless of that, the main aspects remain unaltered and it's an enjoyable and challenging game to play.

There's nothing inherently wrong with Picross e8 itself, but it belongs to a series that is fast beginning to outstay its welcome; unless developer Jupiter can find a way to really shake up the staling formula, it's perhaps only fair to call time on the 3DS leg of the series at this point.
