Perseverance: Part 1 feels like a rushed endeavor. It's unpolished and the characters do not feel entirely fleshed out. Yet there is just enough potential that when the game ends on a cliffhanger, I find myself slightly interested in the next part of the story.

Perseverance marks an ambitious first installment of a unique visual novel that ends sooner than it needs to in order to be a fully satisfying prologue. While some mechanics need to be tinkered, the game is a fun and creepy visual novel for the asking price. I just hope that future installments will be made sooner rather than later.
