Before I started Remnant, I was worried that its ranged combat wouldn’t provide the same kind of challenge or depth as other, more melee-focused, action games. But Remnant is still finding ways to surprise and challenge me, after I’ve put nearly 10 hours into the game, and each boss teaches me something new about the game and how to play it. I can’t wait to see what I’ll learn next, and what I’ll see — and kill — on the way.

There are only so many ways I can say that I love this game. It has so much to offer and executes so well on all of its ideas, and while it may borrow heavily from some heavy hitters from the last several years, it does so skillfully and respectfully, and it is simply not an experience you can afford to miss. Go, play this game, see for yourself how much fun it is.

All in all, Remnant is an excellent game and definitely hits on both of our "MUST BUY" lists. Other than a bit of input lag on commands there really isn't anything we can complain about, which is pretty damned rare for the both of us, since the years have made us both bitter and picky when it comes to games. If you have the money, and you have access to a platform that will support it, you should be playing it. NOW.

Remnant is overall a fantastic action RPG and great souls-like sibling. The enemy variety, stellar combat, and procedural aspect skyrocket its replay value and the meaningful loot is exciting in this gaming climate. It's challenging even on normal, but far less brutal than Dark Souls, but you can kick up the heat on a harder setting. If you enjoy games like Dark Souls or action RPGs this is an instant buy, especially if you have friends to play with.

Remnant: From the Ashes is far from a perfect game, and there are some glaring aspects that really put a damper on the title. That said, by the end of it all, you're still left with an incredibly solid third-person shooter mixed with challenging elements, all meshed incredibly well together for a passion project that oozes potential. Whether you're wandering the realms solo or with some friends, Remnant offers a thoroughly engaging experience that proves its developer's chops in making a solid action RPG title.

Remnant turned out to be an amazing achievement and a game that can proudly stand as a great Souls-like, despite having its own identity and focus. Everything about it works almost flawlessly, from its combat mechanics to the way that the procedurally generated world offers fresh trials without feeling hastily stitched together. Remnant from the ashes is a unique co-op experience that has successfully mixed various entertaining elements from different genres. Most notably, the game is extremely Inspired by soulsborne. So combat is very difficult and challenging and you need to be aware about some elements like stamina bar. Levels design are impressive and different type of melee weapons and firearms prevent gameplay from getting repetitive. Still some technical issues and bugs Are annoying. Most importantly, the game becomes unreasonably Difficult at some moments and boss fights, specially in solo mode. Nevertheless, Remnant From the ashes is undoubtedly one of the best Co-op games of 2019 so far.

All in all, Remnant: From the Ashes is a solid attempt at changing up the Soulsborne formula. It doesn't quite hit the same marks that make From Software's franchise so delightful, but it has its own strengths. Co-op is a lot of fun, and having a game genuinely built around it is a welcome change from phantoms and the ilk. Remnant is at its strongest when you're playing with other people and working together to take on huge Root monsters or figure out the answer to a riddle. Remnant: From the Ashes is a thrilling and enjoyable co-op game which I really enjoyed playing with my friends as we fought off enemy mob groups together, although I feel like the scaling system is a little off and could use some improvements/adjustments. I also found the navigation within the game a bit confusing as I found myself getting a bit lost at times with little advice on what to do next. However, I was very delighted to see that Remnant: From the Ashes focuses on the story whilst also procedurally generated the levels to keep things fresh and free from repetition. Well, the story stays the same but the land is randomly generated each time and whichever boss you end up facing is the luck of the draw!

Remnant From the Ashes is bound to be a polarizing game, much like Dark Souls was when it first released, and I highly anticipate scores to swing wildly from outlet to outlet. Players may find that their first playthrough is not what they had hoped for, and they might write the game off because of this, and I nearly did so myself. However, there is much more to Remnant than it appears, and the deeper you dig, the more you will find that the things you loved about the Souls series are present, just in smaller quantities.
