Miden Tower
Critic Reviews for Miden Tower
Miden Tower is well done. The RPG mechanics are spot on, but the story and characters were lacking.
Overall, Miden Tower suffers, not from just being generic, but also lackluster. It’s not enough to say that it has the feel of a cheaply-made mobile RPG, because mobile RPGs have shown they can have polish.
As a huge fan of mid-'90s RPGs, I must admit that Miden Tower does a phenomenal job of recreating the magic of that era by offering a creative and immersive game world as well as satisfying combat and character progression that's surprisingly clever.
I got through the majority of the story quite easily, but that’s due to my bad habit of power levelling. Even then, I did still die during some major encounters, so be prepared for some challenging battles. The only bit I found too easy for me, was money: it was too easy to get tons of that, I found I rarely spent on anything but ethers. I have enjoyed this game so far and am still enjoying it, I am looking forward to seeing how the story comes to an end. I hope others will see KEMCO’s Miden Tower for how good it is and give it a try.
Come for the magical brick wall waifu, stay for the excellent combat, unique character progression, strong story, and bonus features galore.
