Welcome to Cubicity, a beautiful cube-based adventure! Get caught up in this unique world, which has its own rules and laws that must be followed if you want to reach the finish line. Select your character — there are more than enough to choose from! Gameplay involves solving a wide range of puzzles, with something for everyone! First, you must move your characters into the given formation, then pass a test at the end of each level. Each level gets progressively harder, so you’ll have to keep your skills sharp. There’s only one finish line, and your goal is to get all your characters there, any way you can. It’s up to you to decide how to solve these challenges — you have complete freedom! To complete your mission, you’ll have to employ logic and strategic thinking. Each level you complete earns you a new reward!

Guiding animals to their goals makes for a fun grid-based puzzler but Cubicity could definitely use a lot more fine-tuning.

If you like those slide puzzle mini-games you find in many other games, Cubicity is a cutesy, leisurely game built around that core concept. There’s 6 to 8 hours of content in this original package with the hint of more to come later but in less than half of that time, you’ll have seen everything this game has to offer. It’s easy – far too easy for my taste as it becomes boring quickly – but this is a comfortable way to kill an hour or 2 before the monotony sets in.

Cubicity is a fun little romp in 3D puzzling that will entertain its players for quite some time. The puzzles may not be the most challenging, and the lack of touch controls on Switch is a bit disappointing, but there is a lot of game here for a very generous price. If you enjoy puzzling on your Switch, this is definitely one to check out.

Cubicity is far from a bad game, but easy puzzles make it one that you'll forget about pretty quickly. However, it comes with plenty of content.
