Marvel Rivals Patch Updates Nearly A Dozen Hero Fixes, But One Major Problem Remains

A new update for Marvel Rivals, Version 20250307, has gone live. Headlined by the Galacta's Cosmic Adventure special event, players can now participate in the all-new Clone Rumble mode. It will run during three timeframes:

Players can obtain free Black Widow - Mrs. Barnes costume rewards during the event.

Beyond that, NetEase has released several updates, fixes, and optimizations, including updates for a dozen heroes.

Despite that, there's still a problem that needs addressing in the eyes of fans: Vanguard balancing. Many complain that there aren't enough Vanguards, and the ones that do exist lack unique gameplay patterns and design choices.

On the one hand, I see the point; most tanks are divided into dive tanks and shield tanks. It's a night-and-day difference compared to the flexibility of some of the game's Duelists.

Still, once you make the connection that it's arguably best to play Marvel Rivals' Vanguards like a beefy DPS, then things start to flow a little better.

Admittedly, NetEase could stand to introduce more Vanguards to the fold. They only introduced one this past season in The Thing. We'll see what Season Two has in store.
