The next Inside Xbox stream is coming this week, and it's the biggest one of the year, with a focus on next-gen gameplay. Beginning Thursday, May 7 at 8 am PST / 11 am EST, Inside Xbox will go live across streaming platforms and be available to watch on your Xbox One as the team reveals first-look gameplay for Xbox Series X titles.
Currently, the show's lineup is mostly a mystery, though we have a few clues as to what to expect. Ubisoft has already confirmed Assassin's Creed Valhalla, its new viking-themed RPG, will make its gameplay debut following last week's cinematic trailer. On top of that, Aaron Greenberg has clarified that this week's show will focus entirely on third-party games, and thus fans will need to wait a few more weeks before they can catch the Xbox Game Studios-focused show.
"So pumped to see our partners showing us a first look at Xbox Series X gameplay next week!" exclaimed Greenberg. "Also know the Xbox Game Studios teams are hard at work on some big summer plans."
With that show scheduled but its lineup hidden, that leaves us with the best part: speculation. What else could be revealed alongside Valhalla? Microsoft has maintained a great relationship with EA, and it's about time we see something from its annual sports games, so a look at FIFA and Madden seems likely, even if those sports resuming in earnest in real life seems quite unlikely any time soon.
Then there's a slew of other Ubisoft games, including some that were recently delayed, which we haven't seen much. These are things like Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and the Breath of the Wild-inspired Gods and Monsters, not to mention the rumored but yet revealed Far Cry sequel.
Other games could show up too, like Bethesda's Deathloop, Cyberpunk 2077, and likely some next generation indies, which Microsoft almost always makes time for. This could be the first major summer show in our year without E3, so don't be late. Tune in on May 7 and 8 am Pacific / 11 am Eastern.
