Critic Reviews for Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection
The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is the best way to play as the most underrated version of the Blue Bomber.
The Star Force Legacy Collection brings back the underrated spin-off in the best way possible. It looks and plays better than ever while also featuring a number of worthwhile bonuses both hardcore fans and newcomers alike will appreciate. There are a few remaining flaws to take into account, but seldom did these truly infringe upon the experience.
The new collection is a complete pack that anyone interested in exploring the games for the first time or coming back to them should get.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection continues Capcom's unbroken streak of excellent Mega Man remasters, presenting these DS classics in the best possible light and providing a compelling package.
The games themselves have aged rather poorly, with somewhat basic combat and a game world that is determined to tell you what to do at every turn. So long as you don't mind dealing with some oddball design choices and long-winded stories, you could get a lot of enjoyment out of this unique, albeit flawed, Mega Man card game.
With a lot of customization options, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection allows you to enjoy these seven RPGs on your own terms. They’re a lot of fun to revisit, and the more action-oriented approach makes them meaningfully different from the Battle Network games despite their shared DNA. It’s a no-brainer for Mega Man fans and those hankering for some action RPGs to play.
Although some parts haven’t aged as well, most noticeably regarding its gameplay, the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is worth checking out if you enjoyed Battle Network or are looking for a new RPG series to dive into.
If you want to try something different with the little blue robot, I think you'll definitely enjoy the collection, and if you're coming from Battle Network, even better. I think Capcom has already mastered the art of preserving its brands, so now the only path left is the Legends series , and I truly hope they revive it.
