Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Reviews
Don't skip Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection or else I will take it personally.
For long-time fans of the franchise, this is an easy recommendation. For newcomers, it’s perhaps best approached with measured expectations and a bit of patience. Either way, Mega Man Star Force: Legacy Collection stands as a worthwhile addition to the Nintendo Switch library and a fitting second life for a trilogy that never got the attention it deserved.
Despite being heralded as one of the more underrated games in the Mega Man franchise, Capcom did absolutely everything in its power to showcase the best version of the Star Force trilogy, and it shows. From added quality-of-life features, restored content, and adjusted gameplay mechanics from the old touch-screen only controls, on top of how great these games already were, they have delivered their arguably best remaster collection to date.
The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is the best way to play as the most underrated version of the Blue Bomber.
The Star Force Legacy Collection brings back the underrated spin-off in the best way possible. It looks and plays better than ever while also featuring a number of worthwhile bonuses both hardcore fans and newcomers alike will appreciate. There are a few remaining flaws to take into account, but seldom did these truly infringe upon the experience.
The new collection is a complete pack that anyone interested in exploring the games for the first time or coming back to them should get.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection continues Capcom's unbroken streak of excellent Mega Man remasters, presenting these DS classics in the best possible light and providing a compelling package.
The games themselves have aged rather poorly, with somewhat basic combat and a game world that is determined to tell you what to do at every turn. So long as you don't mind dealing with some oddball design choices and long-winded stories, you could get a lot of enjoyment out of this unique, albeit flawed, Mega Man card game.
With a lot of customization options, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection allows you to enjoy these seven RPGs on your own terms. They’re a lot of fun to revisit, and the more action-oriented approach makes them meaningfully different from the Battle Network games despite their shared DNA. It’s a no-brainer for Mega Man fans and those hankering for some action RPGs to play.
Although some parts haven’t aged as well, most noticeably regarding its gameplay, the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is worth checking out if you enjoyed Battle Network or are looking for a new RPG series to dive into.
If you want to try something different with the little blue robot, I think you'll definitely enjoy the collection, and if you're coming from Battle Network, even better. I think Capcom has already mastered the art of preserving its brands, so now the only path left is the Legends series , and I truly hope they revive it.

However, it remains a collection that bears all the limitations of the original trilogy, with a certain underlying repetitiveness and a structure that today struggles to surprise those looking for something deeper or more layered. However, for those willing to accept its simpler, more childish nature, Star Force remains a sincere adventure.

New features for older games in an easy-to-access package make this a must purchase.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a near-complete collection of the Nintendo DS' Mega Man titles. Featuring welcome quality of life benefits, new-and-improved (for the most part) audio/visuals, along with online play, it's a must-have for a Mega Man fan wanting to replay some of the best titles in the series' history.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a faithful and feature-complete revival of the original games, but its appeal leans heavily on nostalgia. The quality-of-life additions are welcome, yet they do little to elevate a gameplay loop that now feels overly simple and repetitive.
This collection is a legacy of repetition and regret.
The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is an excellent package of three solid games, filled to the brim with bonus content and QoL features.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a solid and surprisingly timely collection, focusing entirely on gameplay that's still compelling today. It doesn't offer much extra content and doesn't really try to modernize the formula, but it perfectly preserves what made the trilogy special.

Adds a lot to improve the experience for these 20-year-old games, and it helps that the games themselves really hold up.
