For the last few years, Hollow Knight: Silksong has been one of gaming's biggest white whales. It's been over six years since the Hollow Knight sequel was announced, and details since that day have been sparse, at best.
While information has been limited, there have been a few rumblings over the last couple of weeks that have suggested we might be close. Xbox listed Silksong as one of its major "upcoming games" for 2025, and one insider suggested it's planned to hit Xbox Game Pass in June.
For a few hours, Hollow Knight: Silksong wasn't coming to Nintendo Switch.
Things may have taken even more of a turn now, though, as the game has received two changes on the game's Steam backend, one of which it hasn't received since it was announced.
The first change to Hollow Knight: Silksong's Steam profile was that the game has now been opted in for GeforceNow, as spotted on Reddit. Although opting into GeforceNow doesn't particularly say anything in and of itself, the timing of the update is a little suspect.
It doesn't stop there, though.
