Nintendo Switch 2 Still Has Chance Of Receiving Zelda Wii U Remasters

One of the last Wii U exclusives that recently seemed stuck there forever still has a chance of returning, as Nintendo has confirmed that one of the lost Legend of Zelda remasters could come to the Switch 2, despite it appearing on the system in its original form.

Pretty much every Wii U exclusive is available on the Nintendo Switch, with the few holdouts being tied to the hardware, such as Star Fox Zero. The big exceptions to this are the HD remasters of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. These seemed like easy ports, yet they are still trapped on the Wii U.

With The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker being one of the Nintendo Switch 2’s GameCube titles, fans assumed this was the death knell for the HD remaster. However, it was confirmed by the Kinda Funny Games YouTube channel (via Video Games Chronicle) that the HD version of Wind Waker is still on the table.
