The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster has been a breath of fresh air. It's been 14 years since the last Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim, was released, and fans new and old have been diving into the remaster. This comes as they await the launch of The Elder Scrolls 6, which was revealed almost seven (!!) years ago, despite development not having started at the time.

It took one week for Oblivion Remastered to rank up there with 2025's best sellers.

While series veterans are settling back into Cyrodiil, millions of new players are venturing into its lands for the first time. This means, with their new adventures, they are going to stumble across the best and worst the game has to offer, including the notoriously annoying "Seeking Your Roots" quest, and those who know what it involves are excited for the imminent pain.

The Seeking Your Roots quest begins as soon as players stumble across their first Nirnroot. They're then prompted to find an alchemist, who sends them away to find ten of the ingredient. Upon their return, they're sent to find 20 more, then 30 more, and finally, another 40. It's a frustrating back-and-forth, having to look for one...
