Final Fantasy VII Remake's second episode is now in full development.

In an interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu (via Nova Crystallis), it was revealed that episode 2 of Final Fantasy VII Remake is now in full development. Famitsu interviewed several members on the game's development team. This includes director Tetsuya Nomura, who said the following about the timing of Final Fantasy VII Remake's second episode:

"We know that everyone wants the next installment quickly. We would also like to deliver it as soon as possible. Since we were also able to see the line of quality from the first installment, we hope to make the next installment even better in quality that can make for an even better experience. We would like to get it out as soon as possible, so please wait for it. I think we can clearly convey the direction when we officially announce the next installment."

The interview will touch on a number of other aspects of the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake. This includes the fact that the Madam M massage scene was not able to go any further as it would have affected the game's rating. It was also revealed that the AVALANCHE hideout was not added in order to show that Cloud had not developed a close relationship with the group at that point.

The fact that the second part of Final Fantasy VII Remake is in full production is great news. Earlier this month, producer Yoshinori Kitase admitted that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic was affecting the development team's efficiency. He stated that the team was not working at 100%. It seems that the setback that the team is experiencing is not keeping them from delivering the second episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available now for the PlayStation 4. It will reach other platforms next year. There is no word on when we can expect the game's second episode to drop.
