Ubisoft Decides to Keep Its Games More in The Oven Following The Positive Impact of Assassin's Creed Shadows' Delay

Ubisoft spent quite some time developing Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which was delayed multiple times before it was finally launched this year for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S.

This move was caused by the negative feedback from fans and critics towards the gameplay trailers and showcases during the development of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Another reason was the poor reception received by previous Ubisoft titles, such as Star Wars: Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora,in the past few years.

However, after witnessing the positive outcome of the longer development time of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it seems that Ubisoft has decided to spend more time polishing its upcoming games.

This was announced today, during the financial results report. Right now, it's not clear exactly which Ubisoft titles are going to take longer development time.

It was only suggested that the said titles are from Ubisoft’s top franchises, which are Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Rainbow Six, The Division, and Ghost Recon.

Yves Guillemot, the CEO of Ubisoft, said that the delayed projects are now aiming to launch after the current financial year, which ends on March 31, 2026.
