The most famous death scene in the Final Fantasy franchise is being given its own Magic: The Gathering crossover, allowing players the chance to destroy every flower girl in the multiverse.
The Final Fantasy x Magic: The Gathering crossover set adapts many mechanics from the video games into tabletop form, such as turning the Summon monsters into Saga cards. The crossover will also adapt various story moments, such as Zodiark’s effect requiring all players to sacrifice half their board, referencing the backstory of Final Fantasy 14.
A new spoiler for the upcoming Final Fantasy set has been posted to the MagicTCG Reddit page. The card is called Sephiroth’s Intervention, and for the cost of four mana (one black and three of any color), it can destroy a creature and give its owner two life. The image shows Sephiroth descending with his Masamune blade in hand, referencing a certain scene in Final Fantasy VII.
