Fantasy Life 1: The Girl Who Steals Time is the long-awaited sequel to Fantasy Life, a beloved life simulation/RPG blend developed by Level-5 that released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2012.

The Girl Who Steals Time was delayed twice before finally releasing on May 21, and the sequel seems to have gone over well with PC players.

As it stands, Fantasy Life 1: The Girl Who Steals Time has peaked at over 34,000 players on Steam. As pointed out by Wario64 on X, Fantasy Life 1 is currently outperforming Doom: The Dark Ages on the platform, which peaked at 31,000 players. The obvious caveat is that Doom: The Dark Ages is available on Game Pass, a platform that's currently flourishing because of a string of high-quality releases such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered.

In terms of reception, Fantasy Life 1 appears to be well-received by players, as it currently holds a "Very Positive" review score on Steam.
