The Nintendo Switch 2 is being praised for the improvements to original Switch games when played on the new console. Even Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which is yet to get an official Switch 2 update, runs a lot better on the next-gen Nintendo platform. However, some issues need to be ironed out, including one that brings your Smash matches to an abrupt end when selecting a certain character.

Those who loaded up Smash Ultimate on the Switch 2 during the new console's launch day gleefully shared clips of just how much faster the game loads. However, as pointed out by OatmealDome, Nintendo has updated a help page on its Japanese site dedicated to troubleshooting problems during the Switch and Switch 2 transition period, detailing a problem with Mii Fighters in Smash Ultimate.

Nintendo's vice grip on the handheld gaming market is only going to get tighter.

"In online play, when a Switch 2 player and a Switch player are matched, if one of them is using a Mii Fighter, the match may end immediately," the translated note about Smash Ultimate reads. "Please refrain from using Mii Fighters in online play as much as possible until this issue is fixed."...
