"Please Don't Weaponise It": Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Devs Take Stand Against Racist Allegations

In a statement shared on social media on Thursday, Sandfall Interactive, the developers behind 2025s breakout hit, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, took a stand against allegations of the studio being racist against non-whites, asking fans to not "weaponise" the game as a means of spreading hate.

The studio's statement comes roughly a day after an unnamed Twitter user levied accusations that the company refused to hire non-French, non-minorities.

Gitting gud can be worth it, but people will still benefit from Lies of P’s new easy mode.

Originally, a Twitter user by the name of Hocine shared that "they refuse to hire non-French or non-colored people before even looking at the CV," according to a machine translation, with the "they" being Sandfall.

Their initial post came in response to an announcement that the Expedition 33 team would be at Japan Expo for a panel and autograph session.

Following their initial post, the user went on to share some anonymous messages that a person tried submitting their resume in person, but was turned away, only for reportedly a white person to be hired shortly after.

It is the first instance of such accusations against the developers....
