Dune: Awakening is really fun. You can get goomba-stomped by an ornithopter and it doesn't even take any damage!

Reddit user Bombe18 shared a few clips in the Dune: Awakening subreddit - clips that foretell the coming of a great beast here to devour you in the game's PvP modes. A dev has responded to these clips, promising changes.

Arrakis, famous for its airborne predators, currently sees players getting splattered at high speeds against the windows of everyone's favorite drivable dragonfly. This is very true to the books, you see.

Is this a particularly time-efficient way of downing a player? Not really, the ornithopter is clearly not designed for this kind of use. But given that they don't take any damage from colliding into terrain, what's stopping you from going on a splatter spree? Turns out, not much.

Why don't vehicles take collision damage like this? According to PCGamer, this is because in the endgame, vehicles like the ornithopter demand a high investment from players. Having it crash after so much work just feels bad.

Having it crash into you also feels bad. And now that the devs are aware of the issue, a fix is coming....
