We now know when to expect the next Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion, The Crown Tundra, to drop.

Pokémon Sword and Shield's next expansion, The Crown Tundra, will release on October 22nd. The news was revealed during a special Pokémon presentation on YouTube. The Crown Tundra will add a new snowy region called the Crown Tundra, and will add new Pokémon, Galarian forms, and characters. The Crown Tundra will be a new open area for trainers to explore, as they try to figure out the mysteries of the land.

One of the main features of The Crown Tundra will be the Dynamax Adventures. Through Dynamax Adventures, players will explore Pokémon Dens, where they can run into Legendary Pokémon at the end. All Legendary Pokémon from past games will be available for players to catch through the Dynamax Adventures.

The Crown Tundra will also be adding the Galarian Star Tournament. This tournament will have players battle a number of trainers that they have encountered in their adventures through the Galar region. Players will also be able to team up with trainers to take on the Tournament as a team.

It was also announced that Pokémon Home and Pokémon GO will be integrated later this year, though no date was given. When the two games are integrated, and a player has transferred a Pokémon from GO to Home, they will be able to cause a Meltan to appear on their map, which they will have the chance to catch. Players will also receive a Melmetal in Home, which will have its own Dynamax form.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are available now for the Nintendo Switch. The first expansion for the titles, Isle of Armor, is available now. The Crown Tundra will release next month, and will be a part of Sword and Shield's expansion pass.
