Long rests are a major feature in Baldur's Gate 3. It's when all our beloved companions are in one (relatively) safe place together, and can banter, romance, fight, and prep in peace. It's also a requirement for progression, many quests and romance options only move forward during long rests.
Samantha Béart walks us through how they brought Karlach to life, giving us the authentically queer survivor so many fell in love with.
However, the problem with this is that you're tracking multiple quests at any given point of time, so you don't know which one is going to trigger during your next visit to camp. This is especially frustrating when there are time-bound quests, or when you're waiting for Karlach to approach you but are only met with Withers explaining something you're not in the mood for. Even if he does have big naturals.
Understandably, this can get frustrating, as pointed out by Pandamonea_70, who was waiting for their romance with Karlach to progress, only to be interrupted by other events during long rests. "I can imagine Karlach screaming with frustration somewhere in the background," they said, after listing down all the distractions they were met with.
