Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel is rolling out a major new change when crafting cards being hit by a banlist update, restricting players from a loophole with the dismantling system. The massively popular online TCG from Konami offers players several ways to acquire cards within the game, both as free rewards and through the game's many packs. Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel features a wide variety of Solo Mode challenges, granting new cards for specific archetypes, while Selection Packs typically feature the newest cards being added to the game. However, Master Duel does feature one major way of limiting a player's card selection.

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel features a regularly updating banlist as one of its main ways of keeping the game's most dominant meta strategies in check. Konami typically releases a new update to Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel's banlist at the start of every month, hitting key cards to address the most powerful decks. Master Duel's most recent banlist for July saw the powerful "Snake-Eye" strategy take a major hit, with key combo piece "Snake-Eye Oak" being banned.
