Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, a remaster of the James Gunn and Suda51 cult classic 2012 game, launched to middling reviews from critics last year, who were upset to see many "notable effects missing from the original". The second is that the press release stresses that these new projects will stay "true to the distinctive tone and spirit of the original work, without imposing excessive creative restrictions in the name of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)."
