Xbox console owners will be able to play Among Us next year.

Microsoft has announced that Among Us will be reaching Xbox systems in 2021. While no time window was given, the company did reveal that game will be available on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S through the Xbox Game Pass for console. No other details were given. They also announced that the game is available now for PC through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, as well as the PC version of the service. The Xbox Game Pass version of the title will support cross-play with mobile and other PC versions of the title.

Earlier this week it was revealed that Among Us had become the number one game on the Nintendo eShop after one night. The game beat out other popular titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It was announced that the game was coming to the Switch during Nintendo's Indie World Showcase this past Tuesday, and was released the same day, and became number one over night. The fact that the game costs $5 dollars may have helped. The Switch version of Among Us is cross-platform compatible with the PC and mobile versions of the game.

A new map for Among Us is one the way. Shown at The Game Awards last week, the map is an airship, and will release sometime next year. However, some gamers have already figured out how to unlock the map on the Switch version of the title. All it takes is a few steps in order to try out the new map. Players have to first start a local game, then go over to the laptop, scroll over to game, and then choose "Airship" as the game's map. After that, they have to leave the lobby, and then create an online lobby with the same settings as the local one they created before. Once they have enough players, they can jump into the new map.

Among Us is available now for PC, the Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
