Among Us has taken over the Nintendo eShop overnight.

After a surprise launch on the Nintendo Switch yesterday, Among Us has become the number one game on the Nintendo eShop overnight. The news was released by developer Innersloth, who made the announcement over Twitter. The game has beaten out best-selling Nintendo titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey

"You got [Among Us] to the top of the Nintendo Switch best sellers list overnight????" Innersloth tweeted. "What is happening haha thank you very much for the support!"

During Nintendo's latest Indie World Showcase, it was announced that Among Us would be making its way over to the Switch. The game costs $5, similar to the Steam version of the title. The game does support cross-play between all of the platforms that it has released on.

At The Game Awards 2020 last week, a new airship map for Among Us was fully revealed. The map had been teased by Innersloth before, but was shown in full at The Game Awards. The map is set to release in early 2021, though some crafty gamers have been able to access the map on the Switch version of the title. According to a video by ProsafiaGaming (via Polygon), it takes just a few simple steps to access the map. First players have to create a local game, then go to the laptop in the lobby, scroll over to game, and then select "Airship" as the game's map. They then have to leave the lobby, and create an online lobby with the same settings as the local one. Then they just hit play once the lobby has enough players. This will give gamers the opportunity to check out the new map, and see how everything will function once it drops next year.

Among Us is available now for PC, The Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
