It has been announced that the next update for Rocket League drops early next week.
On the Rocket League website, it was announced that the game's next update will drop on February 1st. It will release at 4:00 p.m. PST. The update will bring new content to the game, as well as some Quality of Life improvements. The update will also introduce an item that has been requested for some time: Fennec Decals in the Esports Shop. Players will be able to get Fennec Decals for all teams featured in the Esports Shop. Each decal will cost gamers 300 Esports Tokens. Players do need to remember that the Esports Shop no longer rotates, which means that they can browse and purchase all items for all available teams.
The new Rocket League update will also have new effects settings for the game's latest Arena, Neon Fields. After reports that the Arena's flashing lights was causing seizures, developer Psyonix decided to give players the opportunity change the Arena's effects. There will be a settings option called "Effect Intensity" that will allow players to adjust the intensity and motion visuals for Neon Fields. Players will be able to set this setting to either "Default" or "Low." The "Low" setting will disable pulsing effects and flashing lights. It will also reduce or disable moving FX/lights/background visuals, as well as reduce the brightness or intensity of background lights.
Rocket League is currently in the midst of its X Games crossover event. This weekend, starting on January 28th, players will be able to get their hands on X Games-inspired items in the Item Shop. They will have until January 31st to do so. Gamers will also be able to watch the second half of the RLCS X Games: North American Regional this weekend as well. The second half of the event will take place on January 30-31st. Those who tune in to the event will have the chance at receiving the Knuckle Huck Player Banner, as well as the X-Boards and X-Skis Toppers.
Rocket League is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.
