Apparently, We Could've Been Playing A Resident Evil Zero Remake Right Now, But It Was Rebooted Last Year

Reputable leaker and insider Dusk Golem recently claimed that Resident Evil Zero Remake was supposed to have launched by now, but that it was internally delayed and pushed back to 2028.

"Zero received a form of reboot & changed hands in who's working on it late last year," Dusk Golem explained. However, they stress that it's nothing to worry about, and doesn't mean that the remake is in trouble.

"Keep in mind various scopes of reboots are common in this series, not indicative of final game quality," Dusk Golem said. "For example, RE2 & RE4 received mid-development reboots, and RE4 even traded hands on who was working on it as well [...] Just part of how these games are made sometimes."

Resident Evil Zero Remake isn't the only game that was delayed, either. Dusk Golem also claimed that Requiem was supposed to be out by now, but Zero appears to have faced the brunt of these pushbacks, as they said back in January that it was meant to launch before RE9.
