There are a few series in gaming that are as huge as Call of Duty. It has been one of those juggernaut titles that, even if they release a miss, the fanbase is sure to make it a hit. Despite all of its flaws, it has managed to stay on top for the longest time.
However, this year things seem to be changing, as Battlefield 6 looks to have already made a comeback, even though it hasn't been released yet. The recent BF6 Beta was so popular that it had three times the peak player count of Battlefield 2042, and a few weeks later, BF 2042 went on to rival Call of Duty in terms of popularity.
Of course, CoD can't just wait around and do nothing as its competitor takes away all of their player base. With less than two months until the release of Black Ops 7, it is about time they revealed their Open Beta plans.
