Unlike having, say, a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, where you can simply pop the disc in and begin playing or download the title to do the same, when you have a PC, you have to make sure that your specs are in line with the minimum and recommended requirements outlined for any game. Even then, as we saw with Borderlands 4, there might be some extra steps involved before you can start playing.
That last bit is often a source of contention, as seemingly the minimum requirements to run modern games continue to skyrocket. In the case of Deus Ex Remastered, a surprise reveal during this week's PlayStation State of Play presentation, things are absurdly high for a game that is old enough to drink.
As first shared on social media by Terak, the remastered version of Deus Ex recommends that players have an RTX 2080, plus 16GB of RAM. For reference, the OG version of Deus Ex that is still available for download, could run off 64MB of RAM, 16MB of VRAM and a Pentium.
