The game release calendar is looking Cloud-y with a chance of indies, as Stadia has revealed 10 new games coming to the platform throughout 2021, starting as early as next week.

The full slate includes some games seen elsewhere as well as games that have never before been seen. All of them come via the Stadia Makers program, a Unity-based indie support program apparently akin to ID@Xbox, where Stadia lends a hand to games seeking to launch on its platform.

Included in the new lineup revealed today alongside their respective release dates are the following games:

  • The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark - April 15
  • Hundred Days - Winemaking Simulator - May 13
  • FORECLOSED - summer 2021
  • Figment 2: Creed Valley - fall 2021
  • GRIME - TBA
  • SHE DREAMS ELSEWHERE - TBA
  • Merek's Market - TBA
  • Death Carnival - TBA
  • Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch - TBA
  • Skyclimbers - TBA

The genres on offer run the gamut from adventure games like The Darkside Detective, beat-em-ups like Jay and Silent Bob, top-down shooters like Death Carnival, and more.

These new Stadia Makers projects join past titles such as Unto The End, TOHU, Kaze and the Wild Masks, and Nanotale- Typing Chronicles

Stadia Makers is designed to offer technical support, free development costs, and even funding to independent studios. Currently the program is aligned with Unity-based games, though the team's verbiage suggests that detail may be expanded upon later. Stadia said the program "start small and expand to pave the way for development teams of all sizes to bring their titles to Stadia." It seems the expansion is now underway.
