Spellbreak, the magic-slinging battle royale from Boston's Proletariat, has launched Chapter 2, bringing a new season of content including new story missions that players can complete in rounds of the central elimination mode.

Chapter 2: The Fracture is billed as "the most significant update to the game since launch," bringing competitive leagues, a new 5v5 mode called Dominion, improved matchmaking, and more.

“With the introduction of Leagues as part of the new Dominion game mode, the competition in Spellbreak has never been fiercer,” said Seth Sivak, CEO of Proletariat. “Chapter 2: The Fracture continues our unique blend of storytelling and gameplay, further expanding the world of Spellbreak and opening up new opportunities for players to connect.”

In Dominion, players battle for territorial control across three areas using their smaller teams' mix of elemental powers such as fire, ice, stone, wind, and more. Players whowant to take this mode to the next level can compete in new Leagues, which will earn you new rankings and badges so you can see how you compare to others.

The new season also continues the story's central conflict between Vowkeepers and Vowbreakers as they fight to decide the fate of their world. In-game challenges behave as story missions players can complete in the middle of battle royale rounds, provided you can stay alive long enough.
