Football Manager 26 is off to a very poor start on Steam, with the latest entry in the simulation series currently sitting at a 'Mostly Negative' review score on the platform after 3,900 reviews. After a year extra in the oven, the game once known as Football Manager 25 has been heavily criticised by players.
Players have pointed to a shoddy user interface, poor optimisation and a lack of features as some of the main shortcomings of Football Manager 26. The reception is so poor, in fact, that Football Manager 26 is currently the seventh-worst reviewed game on Steam ever.
The Football Manager community is a dedicated one — some players have been playing the series (and its predecessor, Championship Manager) for over thirty years, and they're making their displeasure heard.
