Even Though Fallout Season 2 Just Premiered, Bethesda Wants To Add Elements From Third Season To Its Video Games

The first episode of Fallout's second season was released last night, kicking off a multi-week cycle where Fallout will be at the forefront of the pop culture zeitgeist. While everyone is excited about Lucy and The Ghoul's ongoing romp through New Vegas, Bethesda is already thinking about how to integrate a future third season into its video games.

In an interview with Variety, Bethesda head Todd Howard explained that the studio is already looking ahead to the show's third season and the potential opportunities for cross-media collaboration.

"For us on the game and TV show side, we're writing season 3 now," Howard explained. "We're having those conversations now of, what are we doing in season 3 for the TV show, and what elements can we bring into our games at that time when it comes out that don't feel forced or fake."

Television shows adapting video games, only for content from the television show to be added to the video game, is proof that entertainment media is just an ouroboros devouring itself.

We've already seen Walton Goggins' The Ghoul added to Fallout 76 with the Burning Springs update, and it's hard to imagine that any future cross-media collaboration...
